Garbage Collection
Residential services are available on a weekly schedule. We are proud to offer a save-as-you-throw program, allowing you options to pay for the volume you dispose of. The less you throw away, the less you pay. It's that simple.

Service Frequencies Available:
For resident cans or company-provided carts, service is provided weekly. For dumpsters, service can be provided 1-5 times per week depending on location, bi-weekly, or monthly. |
Recycle Collection
RESIDENTIAL SINGLE STREAM RECYCLING IS COMING IN 2026. Service will include a provided 95-gallon cart collected on a bi-weekly schedule.
Currently, recycle is collected weekly utilizing 22-gallon bins or 95-gallon carts provided by the company. Recycle must be sorted by commodity.
Acceptable recyclable items include cardboard, paper, aluminum and tin cans, glass bottles and jars, and plastics #1-7 excluding Styrofoam.

Bulky items
Bulky items including tires, furniture, and appliance can be collected for a small fee. Please notify us in advance to schedule service and notify us of the bulky items you intend to dispose of so we can properly quote your collection. For larger quantities, we can also provide a small roll-off container.

Yard waste and wood waste can be taken to the City of Gunnison tree dump located at 137 CR 51. Please contact the City for operating details.
Food waste composting is also available through Elements Mountain Compost. Drop spots are available at City Market in Crested Butte. Contact Elements Mountain Compost for details.
